Spherical roller bearings can accommodate big redial load and in the meantime axial load to some extent. With spherical outer race, this type of bearing is featured as self-aligning. When the shaft is bent under load or tilt, the bearing can still work as long as the central axial line of the shaft and the outer ring is less than 1 to 2.5 degrees.
Spherical roller bearings has two types: cylindrical bore and taper bore with taper 1:12 or 1:30. There can be 1 machined oil groove and three equally spaced oil holes on the outer ring to lubricate the bearing more effectively.
This type of bearing is suitable to carry heavy load and shock load, and is widely applied in metallurgy, steel mills, mining, oil production, paper and pulp, cement, sugar making industries.
